Experienced Medical Coder (CCS Certified)

Job: Medical Coder (CCS Certified) - Experienced
Qualification: UG - B.Pharma - Pharmacy
Experience: 1 - 6 Years

Job Requirements:

- CCS certification is mandate.
- Should have minimum of 6 months experience in Inpatient Coding
- Possess expertise in the ICD-9-CM (volumes 1-3) and CPT
  coding systems
- Any life science graduates (BPT, nursing, medical transcription
  preferred)
- Should be knowledgeable about medical terminology, disease
  processes, and pharmacology.
- Strong knowledge in human anatomy and Physiology.
- Willing to learn concepts quickly and develop in the area
   of specialization.
- Should have very good attitude.
- Flexible to work in shifts.
- Understand business requirements and cooperate when
  needed.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Codes and abstracts information from a variety of medical
  records and assigns appropriate codes based on medical
  documentation using ICD-9-CM volumes 1-3 guidelines.
- Does quality check and provides feedback
- Mentors other team members
- Follows strict coding guidelines within established productivity
  and quality standards for all accounts assigned.
